Data is not fully synchronised/data is partially missing from wearable/app to fitward app. What now?
Different connections have different synchronisation times. If the connection is GoogleFit – it may take up to 24 hours to sync the data; If the connection is Samsung health – you need to open Samsung health first to sync the data. For other connections, you can try disconnecting and reconnecting to the wearable.
Sometimes the data is not fully loaded (e.g. in the case of leaderboards) due to the size of the challenge not being consistent with the data model of a specific connection. Please contact us for further support!
My GoogleFit data does not match the fitward app.
The Fitward App uses the GoogleFit calendar to synchronise with the time zone. If the end-user’s Google calendar is not synchronised with actual activities, incorrect data aggregation will occur.
I can't pick up steps from Strava?
Strava does not provide steps as a data source. You can use Fitbit App to count steps. Fitbit App uses the accelerometer in your mobile to count steps. So you don’t need a wearable/band to count your steps. Just carry your mobile with you.
I can't see my step data from the morning. What should I do?
Fitward tries to keep data transmission as real-time as possible. However, sometimes server connections work slower than expected. It is therefore wise to wait 24 hours before complaining to your support department.
The activity I completed appears twice, from two different wearables/apps.

No data comes from the wearable/app to the fitward app
- check the correct permissions of the app.
- disconnect and reconnect. When reconnecting, tick all possible checkboxes. If this still doesn’t solve the problem, please email support@fitward.app
I want fitward to delete my data. Is that possible?
Yes. You must let your company know that you want your data deleted. They can ask us to do so on your behalf. If you delete your profile, we will also delete all data associated with your profile.
What is the difference between daily summaries and activity types?
In short, activity types are equivalent to timed workouts you do in a day and daily summaries are static data of your daily movement. For example, an hour’s recorded walking session will be an activity. And, this walking activity + walking from your kitchen to your living room or any other movement on a day will count in your daily summaries.
Are daily summaries an addition to activities?
Activities are part of your daily overviews. For example, while walking, running, crossfit or rowing. Daily summaries, however, are the static data of your total movement during the day.
For example, an hour’s recorded walking session will be an activity. And this walking activity + walking from your kitchen to your living room or any other movement during the day will count in your daily summaries.
I cannot see the activity 'Walking', I only see walking activities when I record walking. Why is that?
The workout offered by different wearables often does not match another wearable. Crossfit, for example, can be tracked with Google-Fit, but not with Fitbit. For this reason, Fitward combines different workouts into one. So, indoor cycling, outdoor cycling, mountain biking will count as cycling workout. Hiking workout counts as ‘running’ in the Fitward app.
Which apps or devices can I use to access fitward?

I have a Samsung health wearable. How can I connect it to the fitward app?
There are two ways to connect to Fitward:
- You can connect Samsung Health to Strava and Strava to Fitward.
- You can connect Samsung health to a HealthSync app and connect this app to Google-Fit. Google-Fit can then be connected to Fitward.
